What is Optimize Athletes?
- Optimize Athletes is a 6-Week Program for your high school athlete
- Each session is run by a physical therapist and personal trainer who is certified in Multi-Functional Movement
- Sessions are 30 minutes in duration and will focus on endurance and coordination of muscle complexes that are typically weak and often the cause of injury
- Sport specific activities are used to enhance performance and improve strength, agility and speed
Why Does Your High School Athlete Need Optimize Athletes?
- Overuse injuries (tendonitis, muscle strains, muscle tears) are responsible for more than half of all high school athlete injuries. This is due to improper training of sport specific muscle synergies and movement patterns
- High School Athletes account for nearly 2 million injuries per year! Most of these injuries could be prevented with proper training to avoid unnecessary fatigue and weakness that leads to injury
- Most High Schools have trainers on staff ready to treat injuries, which is great, but there is not enough one-on-one training by fitness experts to ensure optimal performance and injury prevention
- High school athletes may be required to "workout" with the team in the gym, however, without proper training to ensure proper technique and correct movement patterns, your athlete may be more susceptible to injury that could prevent your child from playing his or her sport, or even worse, playing while injured causing a more serious injury
